How many pieces come in a carton?
It depends on the fitting and the size — the smaller it is, the more the carton holds — and the count is printed against every row whose company gives one. Pipe is not sold by the carton at all; it is sold by the length.
The smaller the fitting, the more the carton holds
There is no single number, and anybody who gives you one has not looked. A carton is a box of a fixed size, so what changes is how many fittings fit in it. These are the companies’ own counts, off their own price lists — read here when you opened this page, not typed out by us.

Pipe is not sold by the carton
It is sold by the length, and the length is what the packing column carries for those rows: 160 rows in this catalogue are a length of pipe rather than a box of pieces. Most are six metres; some PPRC comes at four.
So a “carton of 4″ pipe” is not a thing to ask for, and what a foot of it costs is its own question with its own answer.
You do not have to take a whole carton
Every rate on this site is per piece, and a list of one piece is an order we take. The carton count is there so you can order a box when a box is what the job needs — not as a minimum you have to reach.
It is the same rate either way. There is no dealer price and no carton price: one published rate, the same for everybody.
Where the count is printed, and where it is not
470 of our 2603 lines carry a carton count today. The rest do not, and that is the supplier’s sheet rather than a gap in ours — ceramics and brassware are largely sold by the piece and printed that way. Where a company prints no count, we print none.
